Subject: ME AND MY UNCLE
EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT THE JACK STRAW ON HERE IS IT THE BEST OR NOT? WELL I THINK THAT THE ME AND MY UNCLE ON HERE IS NO DOUBT THE BEST. JERRY'S GIUTAR SOLO IS INSANE. I WAS AT THIS SHOW AND I STILL HAVE DREAMS ABOUT IT OR MAYBE THEY ARE FLASHBACKS WHAT HAVE YOU. THANK GOD FOR LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS OR I WOULD NEVER GET TO RE LIVE IT!!!

it is a bit erratic. vocals were mic'd too loud to start, bruce comes in kind of off key in the start of jstraw but it was fixed by bertha. the jack straw is nice, certainly not even close to the best on record (6-6-91 blows the face off this one). but this is a fine show, the boys were tight, a fun set list. wish they did half star ratings, this one isnt quite 4, more like 3.5, but im a glass half full guy. so book it at 4.

Subject: Wrong File names
The seeding for this show is wrong, in the second set. I don't think there was a Playin' Reprise in this show.

Anyway wonderful sound.

Saw this one (and the next) with my brother and a good friend..had a great time..my first MSG show. one of my favorite GDTRFB's and Stella Blue's. Great Let it Grow..nothing to dislike here.

Can't believe it's been 16 years since I saw this one =:-Q

these shows were some of the fattest ever and about time the "dark star" came back out before they played it in Europe....there is no question about "Let It Grow" to lead into something that those of us who were there will never forget...

xoxo to whoever layed this down

I agree with SteveCA that this show sounds a little flange'y, but it is also crispy as hell. Hornsby's vocals come thru crystal clear.....Phil's bass sounds excellent too. And what a second setlist...very well played

To OldSchoolJersey: I disagree that this is the hottest Jack Straw 'ever'. I would even suggest what I think is a better Hornsby era Jack Straw, that being 6-25-91 Sandstone. Additionally, I highly doubt that this show has the longest Franklin's ever. But everyone is perfectly entitled to their own opinion.

my 10th show and my first msg run. too bad there's an aweful hiss on this recording.

well someone changed it because there is no more hiss, but it still aint that great, sounds like they're in a box or something. not worth it in my opinion, even though I was there.

This was a fantastic show. Hottest Jack Straw ever...longest Franklin's on record and some solid jamming in Set 2.

Subject: fake out
Love this MSG run. A 20 min let it grow, are you kidding me? I first heard some of this on the GD hour years ago, and being a fan of "comes a time" i was stoked when it appears they are going into it, but unfortunately that suddenly changes into Ship of fools. If you were there, it must have beeen crushing. Almost as cruel as the Cosmic Charlie fake out in 94. Good stuff though.

Subject: Third time's a charm
This show is mislabelled here, but seems IMHO to be the best quality of the bunch. Really crisp low end and slightly higher levels here than the other SBD, if you are into that sort of thing. A great show... and much thanks to all those who provide us with these recordings!
